Meet the Guild

Karen Hilton
Karen Hilton is Vice President and Branch Manager for Synovus Bank’s Cypress Creek Office. She has worked in the banking industry for 19 years and joined the bank in 2011.

Karen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Ohio State University.  Karen is an active member in the Rotary Club of Wesley Chapel and the Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce as well as the Executive Board Treasurer of the New Tampa Chamber of Commerce. She is also a licensed Health, Life and Annuity agent in the state of Florida.  Karen lives in the greater Tampa area, along with her 2 daughters Taylor and Eva. Jen Holtvluwer
Jen is a Senior Campaign Marketing Manager at BMC Software and has been actively marketing to the business-to-business community for over a decade.  Jen has served as the events chair for the Public Relations Society of America (Tampa Chapter) and currently serves as an adjunct instructor at USF and Pasco Hernando Community College.  In addition, she currently serves on the Board of Directors for Alpha House of Tampa.

Justin Levingston
Justin is a Project Designer specializing in the Telecommunications industry at KCI Technologies.  As a former resident of the Alpha House of Tampa she shares her success story, regularly, with the current ladies. Gessie Lipscomb
Gessie is a Wealth Advisor for Wealth Advisors of Tampa Bay. For more than a decade Gessie has guided her clients in the development and implementation of wealth strategies that seek to integrate their needs for income in retirement, investment management, education and legacy planning, and insurance, among other objectives.

Gessie holds her FINRA Series 6, 7 and 66 securities registrations with LPL Financial, and also has her Health Life, and Annuity Insurance license. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a Specialization in Computer Engineering and a Minor in Economics from the University of Florida in 2001.

Haley Maple
Haley is an attorney with Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin and has been practicing law since 2003. Haley served as Chair of the Artemis Guild in 2010 and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Alpha House of Tampa. In 2012-13, Haley served as President of Tampa’s Network of Executive Women and as co-chair of the Communications Committee of the approximately 60,000 member ABA Section of Litigation.  Email Haley (

Sara Somers
Sara is a payroll administrator at Corban OneSource and has been in the field of accounting for over 8 years.  Previously she devoted her time and resources to the field of social services at a drug treatment facility for boys.  When she isn’t working and volunteering she enjoys primitive camping, trail running, kayaking, hiking, bicycle touring, gardening and cooking.  Sara is a very proud mother of an honors student who is also an officer for the Brandon High School HS Thespians Club.  Email Sara (

Amanda Wright
Amanda is Co-Founder of both Overflow Magazine, a free Christian magazine in Tampa Bay, and Overflow Design Group, a full-service graphic design firm.  She oversees the production and marketing of the magazine and assists with design and layout, in addition to being a feature writer.

Amanda has a Bachelor of Arts from Texas State University and has enjoyed being involved with the Alpha House since 2008.  She served as the Vice-Chair for the Artemis Guild in 2011 and is currently the Public Relations Liaison for Women-N-Charge, a networking organization for women in business.  Amanda is a member of Grace Life Church in Lutz and when she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Brady and their beautiful daughter, Bella.  Email Amanda (amanda@overflowmag.com)

Melissa Wiebeck
Melissa Wiebeck is a Vice President for Convergent Capital Partners. Melissa oversees the asset management and investment strategy for a real estate investment portfolio consisting of performing and non‐performing loans, developed and undeveloped lots, office buildings, retail centers, multi‐family projects, hotels, and golf courses. Melissa is also responsible for managing relationships with tenants, third-party operating partners, and financial reporting to investors.

Melissa graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor in Science of Business Administration – Finance and a minor in Spanish. Melissa is a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. She enjoys living in Tampa with her husband, Kris.
