One Mother’s Story:
“Terry” came to Alpha House after living with other homeless people in an abandoned building without water or electricity. She had to sneak in and out of the building for fear of being arrested for squatting. When she found out she was pregnant she knew she had to do something. She came to Alpha House to make a better life for herself and her baby. She found a job right away and worked throughout her pregnancy. Terry’s baby was born healthy and they were able to move back up North and reunite with family.
