Local Girl Scout Helps Build New Playground at Alpha House

A bedtime story

Girl Scout Emma Goltermann chose to create this a playground for the moms and babies of Alpha House as her Girl Scout Gold Award project – the highest achievement in Girl Scouting. The new playground equipment was carefully chosen to meet the needs of the families here at Alpha House of Tampa, with age- and size-appropriate features for infants and toddlers. It supports our program goals of healthy child development, increasing parenting skills and strengthening the bonds between mother and child. It gives our moms and babies a fun place to spend active time together outside.

Emma had incredible support from her family and other committed partners in achieving the goals of her Gold Award project, especially the Trombley Family Foundation. Many of our friends from the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce came out in the rain to show their support!
