There is much need and so many ways you can offer support, comfort and assistance. Alpha House of Tampa touches the lives women and their children every year by providing a safe place to live, counseling and positive direction, and hope for a new future. Our ability to provide assistance and services could never happen without the generous support of people like you!Financial donations are needed to meet the needs of pregnant women in crisis in our community. Any amount will make a lasting difference to a family in need. There are many ways you can participate!

Volunteer

There are many ways an individual or group can get involved. One of the first steps a volunteer should take is attending a Lunch and Learn session. All dates for the 2011 year are posted on the Calendar of Events; from here you can RSVP for the date that best accommodates your schedule. During the Lunch and Learn tours we will provide a lite lunch, share stories, and tour the maternity residency.

Members of our community have been so generous that we now have more of some items than we can use, and storage space is at a premium. Due to this overwhelming response, Alpha House has instituted a new policy regarding donations. Please review the list for items we are accepting at this time.

 

A Room of Her Own

“A Room of Her Own” was a design project completed in Fall 2011 in which leading interior designers donated their creative and contracting services to renovate 20 bedrooms in our maternity residence. Our goal was to provide a home-like environment with therapeutic benefits for these women and children, all of whom come to Alpha House homeless and with a history of trauma and abuse.
